Rules for Voting

The  first rule is all voters must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen. When registering you need to  be able to prove it with a state ID or birth certificate. Second, we need fair and honest people to be election judges to guard against racial and ethnic discrimination Last, we need all citizens to get informed  about the candidates and issues and get out and vote!

Yes Means Yes!

Groping is an unwelcome sexual advance that is taking advantage of someone weaker than you. This is sexual assault and is hideous and unacceptable! This  unbalanced   behavior is cowardly and  is not limited to the workplace, but is happening in our homes, group homes, school, Congress  and other public institutions. As a society, we need to stop this hideous behavior. I am encouraging the next generation to say some thing to someone in authority.  I would like  to setup a  national hotline for groping victims. Don't  be afraid. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Guns Have Got To Hit The High Road!

74 people were shot on a recent weekend  in Chicago . 12 people died.  An 80 year old was killed by a stray bullet. Our Emergency Rooms are overflowing. This is an outrage! The  taxpayers need to get our lawmakers in  Springfield and Washington, D.C to stand up to the NRA for common-sense gum laws. We desperately  need key State and Federal officials to step up and do the honorable thing and pass reasonable gun laws. Call your representative immediately and demand action!

Chicago Public School Sex Scandal MUST be Believed!

In the last  ten years, Chicago police have investigated more than 500 cases of juvenile sexual assault  and abuse in Chicago pubClic schools . Sadly, when students got the courage up to report the crime, they were often ignored  or given the runaround. Now the City and CPS are applying a broken down investigation process to a broken down school system.Once again, robbing Chicago young adults of their futures. Our schools need more safety. Less jails and more schools!

A Salute to the State Librarian of Illinois

The  Honorable Secretary of State Jesse  C.White is also the State Librarian of  Illinois. This makes him the head of literacy, This great  man is also responsible for our DMV, IDs, and tracking organ donations. He and his staff do so much for grateful Illinoisans. Sec of  State White reminds us  to not get behind the  wheel if you're intoxicated or driving distracted by an electronic device. have a safe Summer!

Let's stop talking with guns

Too many people talk with guns and not with words. Look out for the warning signs,  1) threatening talk and gestures, 2) unruly and reckless behavior, and 3) starting disturbances.  The March For Life movement has the right idea using words to get the guns off the streets. This younger generation is being shot down and is intent on stopping it. I want to see all teachers and professors support their students working for safe and peaceful schools.

Fix DACA Now!

Stop  the whining  and start accepting that these young people are here to stay and should be accepted and respected. Imagine being told that the only home you've ever known, is not your own and you must go to a place where you have never been and you don't speak the language. As you can see, this is ridiculous and must be fixed immediately!  Immigrants are extremely important  to our society. Let's go!

Please vote on MARCH 20th!

In the new year I would like to see everyone get informed about the candidates running for public office. If you do not understand something, ask your teacher or tutor  for help to research the people to choose for these important jobs, its the best thing as citizens we can do. Our schools and our citizens need our assistance to make the world, so do your homework and get involved!

THE FLU!

This  flu  season  has been  especially  dangerous with hundreds of people dying  from this strain..People   need to take care of themselves by getting a flu short, washing your hands often. and staying home when you don"t feel good  yourself. Since October, there  have been 12 flu - related deaths in Chicago. This is out of control! Especially young children. Get your flu shot!

My New Year's Wish List

For  2018, my top wish was fulfilled  early when police body cameras were completed one year ahead of schedule. Less pathetic behavior from our young people like not joining terrorist groups or stealing packages from front porches that don't belong to you. Our jail guards must be better trained and more compassionate towards their inmates and our case workers need more support from the state so they can patiently do their jobs. Less carjackings and more buses! Happy 2018!
