Enjoying Current Events in America with Threats We Must Stop in Our Cities and Suburbs

Sports events and concerts are a great way to spend your time during this crazy period. Be very careful with what you say because of the political situation.

There are amazing Pride parades and disability parades. On the sad side, there have also been issues with immigration and ICE.


The Internet is a tool I use to find out how I can locally see plays and concerts. Citizens can check it for everyday use. Chicago is the best place for events. There are great things to see in the city and suburbs. Brandon Johnson, the mayor, may do a city government shutdown. Let’s hope that he can decide on a budget in time, so no events are cancelled.


We have country music shows, and it cheers my heart. It must also cheer people to take the Chicago Transit Authority.


People need to be safe as they visit places. Drivers need to be screened to keep transportation safe. We don’t want evil people driving.


The best way to get to see this beautiful country is by attending current events, especially related to holidays and holiday parties. We have such a beautiful country, but now it has no sense of leadership.


What a shame for the rest of the United States that they are in such a bad situation. We should handle our problems diplomatically. We should only use our money for the United States of America, so we have better communities. 


One day there will be no more ICE, thank God! American citizens do not deserve to be hassled by Homeland Security. What is this world coming to? When can worldwide citizens get along with one another? It does not make any sense.


They should turn detention centers into education centers instead, or places to help people with addictions or homelessness. We have a leader who has no respect for human life.


People should not need to suffer in fear of Homeland Security. They are scooping up students from their own schools. Who in their right mind do they think they are? What the heck is their problem? People should speak out. ICE have got to go because they often act like a bunch of savages.


ICE has got to get out of places like Chicago and Minneapolis. They have engaged in behavior that is disgusting. The way our world is today, we need something to relax the human mind. Everyone should keep their sanity! Hopefully, we can still safely attend events.


This is out of control. What this country deserves is someone who has a mentality of sanity. We do not want someone with cruelty who does not have a heart. All human beings should be accepted and respected. We should be able to be safe to travel and see events together.

My Train Story...

I have taken many forms of transportation, bicycle, car, van, bus and planes. By far, my favorite form of transportation is the train.  I like the train because it is relaxing and fast. It is reliable. Usually, it is clean and quiet. It is very safe from crime and accidents. For people whose disabilities won’t allow the operation of a car, it’s the faster way to travel.  As a taxpayer, citizen and consumer, I believe trains, like Chicago’s Rapid Transit, are the most efficient, cleanest ride. Trains are also the best value.    As a developmentally disabled citizen and rider, I pay $50.00 per month for unlimited rides. This is the best deal in Chicago! Even at full price, it’s a great deal. Plus, there are so many interesting people on the train every day. For instance, today there was a lady on the train with a box of chocolates. I asked her about them. She explained that she was selling them for her granddaughter’s soccer team. I asked, “how much?” ...

Abuse & Neglect of the Disabled

Abuse can be social, like a verbal put down,  physical, like hitting or kicking, emotional, like yelling or threats, or even sexual, like harassment or assault. Neglect can be as simple as ignoring someone or isolating them. More terrible is failing to provide a disabled person basic needs like food or medicine or clothing or housing.
